Bettakultcha VI is FREE (literally)

Bettakultcha is Back!
And to say thank you for all your support last year, our first event of the year is going to be FREE!
Bettakultcha VI will be on January 18th, starting at 7pm ending around 10.30
We figured that January is normally the month were everyone is skint and has nothing much to look forward to, well now you have!
Format is same as before
  • 20 slides
  • 15 seconds each
  • 5 mins to present your passion
  • NO PITCHES
BTW, we're going to be really strict on pitches. Anyone considered pitching by Myself or Ivor will be stopped while they present!
New Venue
One thing that has changed is the venue. Bettakultcha VI will be held in Dock Street Market, just behind the Adelphi in Leeds City Centre. Food will be provided by Andrew Critchett's brilliant FIsh& mmmm. Hopefully more food news to come!
Bring Your Own Bottle
We may have changed venue, but we're ensuring we keep to our principles of not having an expensive bar. So we're sticking with Bring Your Own Bottle.
Help Please
As you can imagine putting on Bettakultcha takes quite a lot of time and effort, and we could do with some help on a few things, for this event we really need someone who's really handy with a video camera. We could also use a few people to help steward on the night.
If you can help please get in touch.

Malaria Death Ring at BKV

For anyone there at BK V. You'll know that this was pretty surreal. Not for everyone, but that's the point of Bettakultcha.

Rule 4. NO PITCHES

We don't have many rules for Bettakultcha. Here they are just as a reminder
  1. 20 Slides
  2. 15 seconds each
  3. 5 minutes only
  4. No pitches
Rule number 4 is close to our heart. We put together Bettakultcha to be different to other presentation events where the audience is being sold to. So we decided well before the very first Bettakultcha that we would not allow pitches.

We're a very liberal team at Bettakultcha which is why there are only the 4 rules. Lately we feel the 4th rule has been violated so...

Anyone deemed to be pitching their commercial business in a Bettakultcha presentation will be BANNED from presenting at any future Bettakultcha events (including the Random Challenge) and any video recording we make of the presentation will be considered blasphemy and therefore ineligible for inclusion in the video archive. If in any doubt, speak to us first.

Hey they're our rules, but they're there to ensure everyone has a great night.

P.S. Thanks to everyone who came on November 2nd, we hope you had an amazing time
